Run and owned by a delightful French family, the park is 10 minutes west of Granville and 3 miles from the Normandy coast, north of Mont Saint-Michel. A stone's throw from the Norman village of Hudismesnil, you will find yourself in the countryside but with all the benefits of Granville and the coast on your doorstep.
The town of Granville has a lovely beach and an attractive harbour. Its location at the entrance to the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel makes it a popular destination with visitors to the region. Granville is also a 3* Ville Fleurie. Must sees include the Christian Dior garden and the extensive Val-ès-Fleur park. There is also a casino, an aquarium and a sprinkling of small museums. It is accessible from the UK by ferry (only 60 miles from Cherbourg, St Malo and Caen) and by plane (only 70 miles from Dinard, Rennes and Caen).
The park has been professionally landscaped and equipped with the very best facilities, including indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, small bar, tennis courts, pétanque and fishing lake. The natural elevation across the park provides a feeling of seclusion for many of the plots. Les Terres Alix park is one of very few where plots are available for purchase outright. A small number are also available for rent.
Plots range in price from 20,000 to 100,000 euro (most being around 30,000 to 40,000 euro). There are approximately 270 plots to choose from, ranging from 200 to 500m2, allowing for a large terrace, garden and parking (up to 2 cars). Buyers can choose from a range of leisure lodges to install on their plot, prices start at around 40,000 euro. Lodges are available for use 11 months of the year the park being closed only in January. Buyers should allow for a small annual fee for park maintenance.
All land purchases take place through the French legal system (allow approximately 8% of the land purchase price for an Anglo French notaire). Expect as little as 5 weeks to complete the purchase of the land and 10-12 weeks for the delivery of your luxury home.
