From what price can I buy a mobile home?
Typically, a new mobile home delivered into France will cost approximately £24,000. This would typically be a 35 x 12 ft and include double glazing central heating. There are even lower priced homes on the market but we find that customers regret their purchase of such homes within a short period of time. We value our reputation and count on you being content with your home!
Where can I buy one of your mobile homes on a campsite or park?
- Firrst of all, you will need to choose an area where you'd like to have your home.
- Then, think about the facilities you would like to have at the campsite.
- Once you have found your park (either with SkyBlue or independently) you should then ask the owner (we can do this for you, if there is a language difficulty) whether you they will allow you to take a mobile home on to their site. Sometimes, the initial answer may be no as a park may have a specific agreement with a french dealer, there is usually a solution though.
How much does it cost to transport a mobile home?
Often the home is already on site. If the home is being transported from the U.K. then prices will vary between £3,000 and £6,000 subject to the width and length of the home.
Where can I view a mobile home?
SkyBlue has demonstration models in several locations across Southern Brittany, the Vendee and in the Languedoc. We also have agreements with some manufacturers for you to visit the factory and view homes there.
Are all homes shown on the SkyBlue website?
No, we put a selection of homes on our website with links to each of partner manufacturers. There are a lot of manufacturers and hence homes, we advise that you let us know more about your requirements and then we can help advise you in your choice.
Does SkyBlue provides an after sales warranty?
From the moment you take ownership your home is covered by warranty. All new homes are provided with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. Some manufacturer's have a standard 2 or 3 year warranty. Should you have any problems with your home during your warranty period we will endeavour to have any issue put right for you and will liaise with the manufacturer.
How important is access when thinking about my choice of home?
Access is certainly a key factor; turning circles into drives, low tree overhangs, low telephone cables and narrow entrance points. Invariably some planning is required! Should a crane be required, prices will vary between about 700 - 1000 euros. SkyBlue will always visit the site and talk through the siting and installation with the park owner. We don't charge for this service.
Gas testing.
Mobile homes aren't delivered with a gas certificate because once the home is transpored any certificate is no longer valid. You are required to have your mobile home gas tested or an annual basis (either SkyBlue or the park owner will be able to recommend a properly registered gas technician).
